About WordSlip™

A daily word puzzle on a hexagonal grid. Seven letters are scattered across the cells. Unscramble them, then drag one path through every cell on the board that spells the word from first letter to last, ending on the last letter. Correct letters lock in after each full guess, so every attempt brings you closer.

WordSlip drops seven letters onto a 19-cell hexagonal grid and asks one question: what word do they spell? Drag one path that covers every cell on the board and hits the letters in order, using the empty cells to get between them, and ends on the last letter. After each full guess, letters you placed in the correct position lock in green, so you can work toward the answer one attempt at a time. A new grid goes up on DailyPlay every day, same puzzle for everyone, so you can compare notes with friends.

WordSlip™ on DailyPlay is completely free to play with no ads, no pop-ups, and no interruptions.

How to Play

Find the hidden 7-letter word, then spell it with one path that passes through every hex on the board and ends on the last letter.

Example on a 7-hex board: one path starts on P, runs through every hex once, and reads P, L, A, Y in order.

  1. Start on a letter and drag from hex to hex.
  2. Use every hex once, the empty ones too. They are the bridges between your letters.
  3. Hit the letters in word order.
  4. End on the last letter. The path can't go on past it, so plan your route to finish there.
After each try
  • Letters in the right spot turn green and stay locked for your next try.
  • No idea yet? Trace any full path. The green letters show you where to go next.
Tips
  • No timer and no move limit.
  • Tap any letter to start a new path from there.
  • Edge hexes have fewer neighbours, so plan how you reach them first.
