About Solitaire

Klondike Solitaire (also called Patience) with a twist: every player gets the same deal each day. Build the four foundation piles from Ace to King to win.

Solitaire is a single-player card game played with a standard 52-card deck. The board has four areas: seven tableau columns where you stack cards in descending order with alternating colors, four foundation piles you build from Ace to King by suit, a stock pile of remaining cards, and a waste pile for drawn cards. On DailyPlay, everyone gets the same deal, so you can compare scores and streaks with friends.

Solitaire on DailyPlay is completely free to play with no ads, no pop-ups, and no interruptions.

How to Play

Goal

Move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles, building each suit up from Ace to King.

Setup

28 cards are dealt into seven tableau columns (1 card in the first, 2 in the second, up to 7). Only the top card of each column is face-up. The remaining 24 cards form the stock pile.

Gameplay
  • Stack cards on tableau columns in descending order, alternating red and black (e.g. black 6 on red 7).
  • Move single cards or ordered sequences between columns.
  • When a face-down card becomes the top card in a column, flip it over.
  • Draw from the stock pile to the waste pile when you're stuck.
  • Only Kings (or sequences starting with a King) can go in empty columns.
  • Move Aces to the foundations as they appear, then build up by suit.
Tips
  • Uncover face-down cards first. More visible cards means more options.
  • Play Aces and 2s right away. They do nothing for you on the tableau.
  • Keep foundations even. Racing one suit ahead can lock up cards you need elsewhere.
  • Be picky with Kings. Only fill an empty column with a King if the sequence below it actually helps.
  • Use the stock pile last. Play everything you can on the tableau before drawing.
